Jobs as CEO

Maniacal customer-centric nutball though he is, Steve Jobs is also one of the most impressive turn-around CEOs ever.

In1997, he takes over a company doing almost $10 bn in revenue, but losing $1 bn while doing it, and shrinks his way to profitability in 1998, grossing barely $6 bn in revenues, but turning a decent profit while doing it.

He then sets about a transformation, and over the next 8 years, takes revenues up to a likely $20 bn in calendar 2006 with an EBITDA margin in the mid-teens.

Genius product designer, and re-creator of, I think, 7 industries, but is Jobs given the credit due for pulling off this astounding financial turn-around?
