Resume Spamming doesn't work

This fella-- Executive Options' Howard Nestler -- has started spamming my inbox with unsolicited resumes. I called him last week and he agreed to stop, but on he goes with the spamming.

I hope his clients know that this is really not going to get them a job.... at all.

I am pursuing a litigation strategy versus Executive Options. It is my contention that he did not distribute my resume to active people or email addresses. Please respond if you would like to join the fight.

I too paid $4,100 for Howard's "service". He claimed to have hundred's of 'high-level relationships with executives and retained search recruiters'.

In his own words he sent my resume to 'a few thousand' people. Yet I received over 3,000 'undeliverable' messages. I tried to dispute the charge through my credit card provider on the basis he failed to complete his obligation because he didn't send my information to active addresses. They ruled in his favor, as per the credit card company's guidelines, Howard only has to show that he sent out my resume. This is not to say that he has to prove delivery. Essentially, the mere fact that he blasted my resume off indiscriminately into the abyss of the World Wide Web is enough to constitute delivery, despite the fact that over 3,000 were 'undeliverable'.

Please post if you would like to join the fight, strength in numbers!

I too was duped by Howard Nestler. I Paid 4000 for a service that he didn't provide at all. It's been six months and I receive not a single email or phone call for any recruiter or company for any position. I reviewed the targeting that they have done and was totally wrong. I tried to contact him, asked my money back and some explanation but never called me, never answer my emails.. the only thing that I got is that they send my profile again all over. Please don't hire him. I wasted 4000 USD. It's a SCAM, no doubt about it.

I agree with Don and have been looking for a place to post my comments. I too, was "hooked" by Howard and his promise to market me to prospective employers. I am looking for a VP Sales job and was finding it difficult to get quality interviews. Part of Howard's "pitch" is that he doesn't take just anyone - only those who are "ideal" candidates. I was skeptical so I asked for references. Howard gave me 3 references immediately. This initially impressed me because everyone else has asked for time to contact their references as a professional courtesy. All of the references were glowing about Howard's work - so I signed-up and paid Howard $4100.00 for his "elite, unique" service.

After waiting several weeks for his resume writing service to complete my profile, his work began. I received more than 1000 undeliverable e-mails in my inbox. I was told that this was part of the process.

It's been nearly 90 days and I have not had a single interview as a result of this process. The only response I receive is from MLM and "work-at-home" businesses. Nothing I couldn't get from joining a job board.

I have tried to contact Howard and he does not return my calls. I sent an e-mail requesting a refund (only partial to be fair) - still no response. Please don't spend your money on this service. IT IS A SCAM!

Don,

I agree with you completely and welcome the opportunity to publicly berate Howard Nestler/Executive Options. I am a self-employed marketing/research consultant looking for project work and someone to "sell" me to prospective clients. Howard hooked me by convincing me that this is what he does. He spent a lot of time interviewing me, then had some guy rewrite my resume into a form that in my opinion was not only poorly presented, it missed the selling points completely. He then spammed this out to thousands of all the wrong people--HR types, as if I were seeking new, full-time employment. When I finally reached him (he does not return e-mails or phone calls) and told him that I thought he misrepresented what he does and he needed to send my information to marketing types for project work, he screamed at me that I was accusing him of being a crook and that I shouldn't tell him how to run his business. His system may be great for turning up leads for full-time positions, but I am convinced that he does not do the type of work that I asked him to do. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND A LOT OF MONEY.

Howard Nestler (aka Executive Options) was paid $2,900.00 in full, up front and he has refused to provide the service purchased. An investigation by the credit card company concluded that he ended up spamming unrelated sites / email addresses and claims it to be his service. Many complaints from recipients of his emails to Howard's "clients" are all that result. He refuses to return the $2,900.00, again, claiming this to be his service. Howard Nestler and his company, Executive Options, is deceitful in its practices.
