Illustrations in web-based news services

I think SearchViews has the best illustrations of any online publication.

Just this week, they've had a lego-made Harry Potter for that story, a Honeymooners photo for Google's moon map story, a deep sea diver for the Microsfot employee who "jumped ship" to Google, and a photo of the "Love" sculpture for a new online dating site.

They're cute, winsome, quirky, and clever. A lot of folks probably overlook them, but in a world of insta-news-feeds and RSS syndication, it's great to see a publisher pay attention to these little, critical details.
